Governor Yahaya Bello reappointed Sheikh Luqman Imam as Chairman of the State Hajj Commission!

The reappointment Sheikh Luqman Bin Imam as Chairman of Kogi State Hajj Commission by The Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji
Yahaya Adoza Bello is a proof of the government’s high confidence in Sheikh's credibility as a scholar with extensive required experience and background.
We are hopeful that with this reappointment, the continuity and excellence of the Kogi State Hajj affair will progress and move towards the impeccable highest level service of this government agenda "let's do more".

Short biography of Sheikh  Luqman Imam By Mohammad Dauda Adano

Sheikh Luqman (Abulyatama; father of orphans) Bin Imam Musa Abdullah Galadima an Islamic scholar and Preacher serves as a lecturer, department of Arabic and  Islamic Studies at Federal Colleage of Education Okene before been appointed first as member and thereafter as a Chairman of Kogi State Pilgrimage Commission. He is a member of National Moonsighting Committee, Nigerian supreme council for Islamic affairs.
Sheikh Luqman, who bagged first class and won the best graduating student 1989 B.A Arabic Award from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He obtained his NCE Certificate from College of Education Ilorin 1983 –1986. Also went to Jebba Arabic teacher’s College for grade ll in 1980 – 1982. At Higher Islamic studies certificate with distinction and over all best student in the year 1977 – 1980.

He started his Quranic and elementary Islamic education from his father, the late chief Imam Of Ebiraland Sheikh Musa Abdullah Galadima and thereafter proceeded to Ilorin in Kwara State under the tutelage of Sheikh Ahmad Abdulqaadir Alaye and famous Ilorin renowned scholar Shaykh Mohammad Kamaldeen Habibulahi Al-Adaby,(1905-2005) the first Grand Mufti of Ilorin and Founder of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria and Mahad Al-Azhar Islamic Institute where he was given access to drink from the foundation of Arabic and Islamic knowledge together with its teaching in an interactive way including from different scholars of Al-Azhar Egypt who came as delegates to Ilorin the institute as clerics and they taught him as well throughout his college years at Mahad Al-Azhar Islamic institute.
Sheikh Luqman is a grammarian, highly respected having specialised knowledge in the field of fiqh, Shari'ah, Tafsir, aqidah, and fiqh al-Hadith as he has been deeply involved in learning and research both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
He started an effective Islamic preaching as Da’awah movement in the 80's and in 90's established Arabic and Islamic college Darul Arqam High school Agassa Okene in Kogi State for both primary and secondary education that has produced unprecedented hundreds of Arabists from the town, Imams, many well known students most of whom are active in Dawah and teaching spread across Kogi central and beyond. He is also the founder of Arqam orphans and Widows welfare foundation that cater for the wellbeing and sponsoring the education of orphan registered under the foundation.
He established weekly Qur’anic exegesis class under the umbrella of Islamic forum for Ansarul-Islam Society of Nigeria Okene Branch at Ebira Central Mosque Okene every Sunday. His style of interpretation of the Qur’anic texts, with contemporary commentator’s familiarity with modern fields of learning, like the pure sciences and social sciences making his Qur’anic explanations relevant to modern human society.
Also, teaching science of Hadith every Thursday at Sheikh Tajudeen Mosque Irevucheba Okene and treated Fiqh class with questions and answers every Friday evening at Dr. Farooq Abdulaziz Jum’ah Mosque Inoziomi layout Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State and his father, late Chief Imam handedover the 30 Days of every Ramadan Tafsir (Quranic interpretation) at Ebira Central Mosque Okene to him since December 29th 1998 till date and he has moved the programme to the greater height before demise of Chief Imam, Sheikh Musa Abdullahi Galadima (Rahmatullah Alaihi; 'May the mercy of Allah be upon him) on the 19th of April 2019.
Sheikh Luqman Bin Imam was born on the 5th of January 1960 "6th – Rajab – 1379” in Okene Kogi state. He is married with four wives, children and grandchildren.
